The 720S averaged 1.05 g, the second-best of all time. The McLaren's max lateral acceleration is 1.09 g, among the best-gripping cars

Pressing the start button produces a fearsome bark from the 720S’ M840T twin-turbocharged, dry-sump V-8 engine—a highly refined all-alloy device displacing 4.0L and generating the 720 PS (710 HP) that inspired the 720S moniker. The 710-hp, twin-turbo V-8 and dual-clutch transmission partner up for a 60 mph time of well under 3 seconds
